Puduvayal (புதுவயல்)
Puduvayal is situated 13 kms from Karaikudi. It is one of the commercial towns within Chettinadu. Puduvayal has 100s of rice mills that process paddy to produce boiled rice. It is considered to be the 2nd biggest rice processing towns in Tamilnadu.
Puduvayal has a lovely Pillaiyar Kovil in the middle of the town and the popular Sakkottai Umayaval Kovil is within 1 km from Puduvayal.
