Youth

We are excited to offer a chance to sail away on the Delaware River and see beautiful sights of Philadelphia. Come visit the city of brotherly love the day before Independence Day. Experience an amazing journey to America’s historical haven on this cruise. The cruise is 50% subsidized, so take advantage of this fantastic opportunity! The cost per youth is only $45 and includes transportation to and fro and lunch on the cruise. Just imagine - an afternoon with amazing company and delightful food in an enchanting environment!

We are presenting the first ever Mr. & Ms. NSNA competition. Who represents the best Chettiar and the best Achi? Well, I guess you’ll find out! This competition will test your knowledge in our Nagarathar culture and your dancing, acting, and thinking skills. Contestants from different regions will participate in challenging, yet fun activities on stage. We’ll spare you the details, but get excited!

It’s a weekend filled with fun, food, and friends. You’ll meet new people with the help of plenty of icebreakers. And don’t forget - we have an exclusive DJ for the youth on Sunday night for you and your new Chettiar friends. Fun tee-shirts, bonding experiences, and a weekend to remember, all guaranteed!

Junior Nagarathars

We would like to invite all Junior Nagarathars (ages 10 -16) to participate in our Poster/Documentary Exposition at the upcoming retreat. The theme is - Nurturing our Nativity (நம்ம ஊர போல வருமா?). This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your native place either through a poster which will be displayed at the retreat or as a documentary which will be aired at the retreat.

Childcare

Here is the agenda for the children's programs.

So you are at the retreat and you have a long list of things to do, performances to see, vendor stalls to shop at, family and friends to connect with and then you ask yourself, "What do I do with my kids?" Not to worry. There is a supervised childcare room at the retreat filled with hands-on activities and innovative arts and crafts that will keep any kid busy for hours. The flyer below details the activities that we have planned for them.
