Nanal Article Submission Guidelines
NANAL Team sincerely welcomes and appreciates your participation and contributions. Following are some general guidelines to enhance the experience of submitting articles for all:
- Upload your contribution directly to www.achi.org by logging into the site and then following the links, NANAL top tab) and Create An Article link underneath the "MY NANAL ARTICLES" left navigation box.
- Any member who has a user account with the site may submit NANAL articles.
- Children (who do not have user accounts) may submit their contributions through their parents.
- By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to distribute the work, and to allow it to be redistributed.
- The last date for submitting your articles for the MARCH 2010 NANAL issue is January 15, 2010. Going forward, NANAL articles will only be accepted online through http://www.achi.org using the Create an Article Link. If you have trouble submitting content at the site, please have your regional representative submit it on your behalf. Alternatively, you can contact us through support.nanal@achi.org.
- Articles are welcome for the September issue cover story theme "Nagarathar Marriages - Andrum/Indrum".
Announcements: All members are encouraged to directly submit announcements such as birth, graduation, marriage, and relocation with www.achi.org. (Such announcements need not be routed through regional secretaries any longer.) You may include one picture with your submission and text may not exceed 50 words. In the Create NANAL Article page select the appropriate NANAL Article Category (Announcements – Birth / Graduation / Wedding / Moving).
Regional Digest: Regional secretaries may summarize the quarterly events such as Pillayar Nonbu celebrations and summer picnics (preferably not exceeding 200 words) and submit the content with the site. Please include at most two pictures with your submission. In the Create NANAL Article page select the NANAL Article Category as: Regional News.
Featured Sections: NANAL will carry articles on subject areas such as Business & Finance, Home & Food, Health & Yoga, Culture & Religion, and Children & Youth. These articles may be your perspectives, personal experiences, real-life incidents, poems, short stories, or recipes right from your kitchen. Members including young Nagarathars are encouraged to contribute toward these sections. Please make sure your articles do not exceed 500 words (2 pages). In the Create NANAL Article page select the NANAL Article Category as the appropriate subject area.
Cover Story: Any members who would like to contribute toward the cover story theme, “Andrum Indrum”, may do so by choosing the NANAL Article Category, “Info for Cover Story” on the new article entry page of the website. Those contributions that are used to develop the published cover story will be acknowledged in the publication.
