What is a forum?

Forum is a meeting place for open healthy discussions. The main objective is to provide an area where users can interact with questions, answers and discussions on any topics.

Forums are a great way to meet people who share similar interests and to learn more about the topic you are interested in. They can be fun, educational and supportive.

Remember, forums are public. Anything you post is being read by everyone else on the forum. Never post anything you don't want made public

Rules and policies on forums

Forums are governed by a set of web committee moderators and are responsible for the forums' conception, technical maintenance, and policies. Forum rules are maintained and enforced by the moderators.

Rules

1. NO offensive and harmful statements or discussions
2. NO personal attacks on members or any committees
3. NO sexual or inflammatory contents
4. Be courteous to fellow nagarathars
5. NO spamming
6. Avoid double or duplicate posting

Rule Breakers - When rules are broken

1. First a warning will be issued privately
2. Subsequently, if the warning/act is ignored the member will be exiled from the forum however member would continue to have access to achi.org website and other features available.

Do I need a login ID to access forums?

Yes, one would need a login ID for achi.org to access forums, follow registration steps to obtain a login ID.

 Can I create forum topic?

Only web committee team can create top level forums for example “Jobs/Career”.

Members will NOT be able create a top level forum topic but can create a sub topic or discussion thread under any of the top level forums or regional sangam specific forums

How to create a new topic or discussion thread under top level topic?

• Login to Achi.org
• Click forums tab at the top
• Select your forum menu
• Click ‘New Topic’ button
• Enter subject or discussion thread, select the forum and post the discussion

 How to reply to an ongoing or active discussion topic/thread?

• Login to Achi.org
• Click forums tab at the top
• Select the topic you would like to discuss or reply
• Click reply to post a reply

How to view latest/new discussion threads?

• Login to Achi.org
• Click forums tab and select ‘Latest Forum Discussions’ to view all the new Postings and replies

How to search forum discussions by keywords?

• Login to Achi.org
• Type a keyword in ‘Search this site’ from the left navigation menu
• Click search to search thru the entire site including forums
• For advanced search click ‘Advanced Search’ link and select ‘Forum’ as category to filter the results.
