Projects and Camps

NSNA and the Thiruvottiyur Nagarathar Sangam sponsored this camp together. It was conducted at the Vellayan Chettiar High School in Thiruvottiyur on May 25, 2004. The camp was a grand success and benefited the local Nagarathars. Thanks to the Thiruvottiyur Nagarathar Sangam’s heavy canvassing efforts, the camp was well attended. About 600 Nagarathar patients benefited from the camp.

NSNA sponsored an eye camp and it was conducted on May 30, 2004 in Ambattur. This camp was also a grand success. Both Nagarathars and non-Nagarathars benefited from the camp. The following is an excerpt from "The Hindu" dated June 4, 2004: In all, 68 patients attended the camp. While 14 patients were selected for cataract surgery with intraocular lens implant, one was chosen for laser treatment for retinal and glaucoma problems and 13 patients were given spectacles. The camp was sponsored by NAGARATHAR Sangam of North America.
